Over the next few weeks, there may be someone who needs help with dog walks or overnight care for a variety of different reasons like illness, schedule changes or kennel closures. We want people to be able to easily find someone to help them out by using RDMOC as a resource.

If you need help with your dog or would like to sign up to help other people, please fill out the form here.

TIP JAR
Many of us would regularly be patronizing bars, salons, restaurants, and other businesses that have been ordered closed. Even if you are socially isolating, you can help to support our local service industry staff. Consider sending a "tip" to your favorite bartender, server, stylist, dog walker etc. Use the google sheet linked below to find their Venmo/Paypal info. Note that you can sort by each column heading or use "ctrl+f" to find the person you are looking for by name or place of employment. If you don't see your favorite service industry folks listed, encourage them to come and fill out the form below.
Please circulate widely using this link.

Keep up with the latest updates from the Anti-Cruelty Society. There is lots of information and resources available on their website.

Such as their
Low Income Clinic:
The Anti-Cruelty Society provides clinic services and treatment for pets in households where the family income is below the poverty level. For qualifying criteria, contact the Clinic at 312-645-8051 between 10 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Short-term Accommodations for Emergencies (SAFE)

Whether because of a house fire, natural disaster, medical condition, or domestic violence, people from all walks of life can find themselves temporarily displaced from their home.
Recognizing that there is a need for emergency sheltering of pets, The Anti-Cruelty Society has established the SAFE program. Providing 30 days of free care to approved applicants, this invaluable service keeps pets safe while their owners seek out new housing.

Or their Emergency Preparedness Tips: Keeping your pet safe is important but sometimes there is an emergency and you need to be prepared. The more prepared you are, the better it will be if an emergency comes up.
