Stitch has a need, a need for speed <insert Tom Cruise meme here>. On January 1st, some of the One Tail staff was supporting Mutts of the Midway's first CRISP shift. (Welcome Mutts, we love you) Stitch came in as an owner surrender, due to the inability to afford his medical care. At 4 years old, Stitch is having 4 minute long seizures and may have either meningitis or a disk injury. When he was relinquished he was unable to walk and after two weeks with One Tail on steroids, he's gotten some mobility back, but this boy has a dream... the dream to keep up with his foster siblings. As the mom of a rescued dog given up due to seizures, this hits my heart heavily. We would love nothing more than to fund-raise the cost of a set of wheels for Stitch. One Tail at a Time's staff member, Amber, decided to foster this pup due to her rescued dog, Gene, as well. She fostered Gene (fka Newt) when he arrived to OTAT with Hydrocephaly, which was causing seizures. She fell in love and once he was ready to be adopted, she swiftly made him part of her forever home. If you can, please help us fund-raise $482.22 for wheels (calculated cost of small dog quad wheelchair & shipping) and if we can also come together, let's raise an additional $4500 to cover the cost of his upcoming MRI. No amount is too small. Also, if you can't donate, please share! Comments are closed.
